- Academic Excellence
Our students are more likely to gain top degrees than any other sixth form college students or independent schools. Many opportunities exist to help you prepare for competitive entry programmes such as medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry and midwifery. There are also programmes to help with applying to Oxford and Cambridge universities and this year 16 of our students were offered places at these prestigious universities - a record for the College.
- Courses linked to jobs
We continuously review our courses against local Labour Market Intelligence to ensure they are employer and university recognised qualifications with appropriate content for the current employment market.
- Links with over 600 local employers
We have links and partnerships with over 600 local, regional and national companies as well as international organisations, providing opportunities for work experience, placements, Apprenticeships and employment.
- Industry experienced teachers
Many teachers are still working in their field whilst teaching, keeping their skills up-to-date.
Some have published books in their area of expertise, many represent awarding bodies and are part of national industry forums. - Diverse range of subjects to study
Whether A Levels, vocational diplomas, Apprenticeships and degree level qualifications.
We offer many different subjects at various levels, suitable for anyone from age 16. - Campus redevelopment
Shrewsbury is a vibrant historic riverside town that enables you to experience the best of life in England.
Our English Bridge and Welsh Bridge campuses are five minutes’ walk away from the town centre’s retail and leisure facilities and surrounded by beautiful scenery and medieval buildings. Our London Road Campus specialises in Vocational training and Higher Education and Apprenticeships, being easy to get to with fantastic public transport links and car parking for over 450 cars.
We have refurbished most of the London Road Campus in the last four years. Currently we are investing in a Higher Education Centre to give the HE students some dedicated areas for learning. Our Engineering & Motor Vehicle department saw a £1m investment with significant funding from the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership via its Growth Deal.
English Bridge Campus has been developed to accommodate all the Creative Arts courses into this campus.
We use a range of new technology in the classroom including apps, tablets and augmented reality.
