We offer a number of qualifications to improve your skill sets, giving you the necessary skills to compete for employment opportunities or help unemployed individuals get back into work.
Does your CV need improving?
In this competitive employment market, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills are more valuable than ever. If you are aged 19 or over, you could access a course for free to help you gain the skills and qualifications you need to get the job you want - whatever your stage of life. These courses are part-time and are located at our London Road Campus.
Level 1 Digital Skills
The course covers the following five skills areas: using devices and handling information, creating and editing, communicating, transaction and being safe and responsible online.
Digital Skills can also be completed at Entry Level 3 if you are
GCSE Maths
The course is split into units that cover statistics, probability, number skills, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
We also offer Maths Functional Skills.
GCSE English Language
The course is split into the following three units covering creative reading and writing, writers’ viewpoints, and perspectives, as well as spoken language.
We also offer English Language Functional Skills.
Distance Learning courses
An NCFE CACHE qualification could be what you need to improve your career prospects and get a job if you are unable to attend college on a regular basis.
Distance Learning with Shrewsbury Colleges Group gives you more flexibility, allowing you to study where and when you want. These are free courses for anyone who is eligible. With other 20 courses in the following sectors, you have lots to choose from:
