Workshop Apprentice HIAB LIMITED
This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to learn through a mixture of on the job experience and block release training through an apprenticeship provider. You will learn about diagnosing and repairing a variety of HGV vehicles, under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- What will the apprentice be doing?
The apprentice will develop the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in their role of an HGV Workshop Technician.
- Installation of products and ancillary equipment to HGV chassis.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas.
- Completing call job related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice.
- Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc.
- Training and Qualification
- You will be required to attend college at the London Rd, Shrewsbury Colleges Group, Campus twice a week, with the remainder of the working week in the workplace.
