What does the course involve?
The qualification has 16 guided learning hours and the content of this qualification has been designed to cover the requirements for all prospective MOT managers. The qualification is subject to an externally set and marked assessment in the form of an online test delivered through the IMI online testing platform. The qualification has been set by the IMI in conjunction with the DVSA and the MOT industry in 2015.

How is the course assessed?
Upon completion of the course, an assessment of 35 questions must be answered, in the 75 minutes allocated. Upon completion of the assessment, the candidate will pass if 80% or more is obtained. The Testers Guide, MOT Testers manual for the vehicle classes being assessed, and Special Notices will be made available during the assessment.
