REMSPay Quick Guide

New students: Your REMSPay PIN and instructions will be sent to you automatically once you have completed the enrolment process. Check your inbox and the junk section in your personal email account.

Existing students: If you have previously created an account but have forgotten your password, click on the “forgotten password” link, follow the instructions and wait 5-10 minutes before trying to log in with your new password. If the link does not let you reset your password, you may have used the wrong email address or entered it incorrectly or you may not have created an account. Existing and new students: If you cannot find the email sent at enrolment or haven’t created an account before, don’t worry, see the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ to find ways in which you can access your four-worded unique REMSPay Learner PIN.

Quick instructions:


Registering for an account:

  1. Click the REMSPay link above to take you to the REMSPay log in page
  2. Go to Register for an Account
  3. Enter the email address you want to use (this will be your username)
  4. Enter the four-word unique REMSPay Learner PIN
  5. Create a password that is memorable (different to the PIN)
  6. Log in to REMSPay,

Adding an Item to your Account:

  1. Go to the “Add Items” section tab
  2. Choose the item to add
  3. Tick the box that might come up to send request (this is just a confirmation that you want to add the item)
  4. A box may come up to ask you if you want to pay now (click yes)

Paying for the item you have added to your account:

  1. If you did not click the pay now button after adding an item, then go to the ‘Payments Due’ section on your account
  2. Select the item(s) you want to pay for
  3. Click the Pay Now button
  4. The payment screen will go into a new browser tab (please allow this. You may need to disable the pop-up blocker temporarily to allow this payment screen tab to open)
  5. Fill in your details
  6. Click Pay

REMSPay - Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I get the PIN from?

  • When you first enrol on a course, you should automatically receive an email from the college to your personal email (Subject heading – REMSPay Access PIN), and within that email will contain the Four-Worded Unique REMSPay Learner PIN used to activate your account. This PIN is unique to each individual student and can be shared with your parents/guardians/carers for them to pay for items on your behalf, this PIN will link them with you.
  • If the email cannot be found, then you can log into a college computer and be able to see the PIN on the StudentPoint area.
  • The PIN can also be found on the MySCG App under REMSPay.
  • You can request your PIN by emailing the finance department (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with your name and student ID number. If your parent/guardian/carer is requesting the PIN on your behalf, they will need to provide your name and ID number too and use the email address they provided when you enrolled.

It will not let me reset my password

  • This may be because the email (username) that has been entered is not the correct one that was used to create the original account or it may have been entered incorrectly. Make sure that you have put the full email address in.
  • It could be because a REMSPay account has not yet been created and therefore the link to reset your password will not work. You will need to create a REMSPay account, follow the quick instructions to set up your REMSPay account.

Why can’t I see the item(s) when I first log in?

  • For most items/trips and other resources, you must go to ‘Add Items’ first to add the item(s) to your ‘basket’ in order to pay for them.
  • Only in some circumstances will the item be showing in the ‘Payments Due’ section of your account without having to add the item first. The payments due section is what you first see when you log in alongside your Cashless balance.

The item(s) isn’t showing in the ‘Add Items’ section

  • All items/trips and other resources are itemised to individuals or groups of individuals for example; only some art students will be able to purchase a specific type of sketchbook for their course, or only a specific class will be able to attend a trip that is being organised.
  • One reason that you cannot see an item could be that all the spaces/number of items have been taken and no more are available. When the maximum number of items/trip spaces has been reached on REMSPay, this automatically makes it unavailable to any other student even if you are eligible.
  • It could also be because the payment deadline date has passed and therefore you will not be able to add the trip/item as this should have been paid prior to the deadline date that was set by the teacher/organiser.
  • It could be because the incorrect course codes and/or year groups were given when the trip/item was set up on REMSPay. Ask your tutor to email finance to check if the course codes and years group have been added correctly to the trip/item.
  • It could be because you are a new class/course that has been added to the trip/item at late notice but finance has not yet been informed of the change, please ask your tutor to inform finance of the change and/or keep checking the trip/item to see if finance has updated it.
