Who is it for?
This Health T Level specialises in providing you with the knowledge and experience to support you in getting into a career in the mental health sector. This specialised course arms you with all the specific skills and competencies healthcare employers need. The college has worked with industry leaders to develop this two-year course to prepare you for an active role in the health and science workplace.

Entry Requirements
You will need to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English, maths and science. You must be positive, dedicated, and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills. You will also need to apply for a DBS check.

What does the course involve?
The first year of the T Level comprises of:
Core A:
• Working in the Health care sector
• Infection control
• Safeguarding
• Health and safety
• Person-centred care
• Health and well being
• Good clinical practice.
Core B:
• Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)Your study programme will consist of working towards the digital technical qualification, coding modules, projects, industry placement(s), trips and visits, speakers from industry and universities, preparation for progression, and enrichment activities.

How is the course assessed?
You will be assessed using a variety of methods including placement, Employer Set Project, 2 exams, practical activities, presentation skills, teamwork and communication skills and a professional discussion.

Additional Notes
By the end of your course, you have the skills and knowledge to step confidently into a mental health sector role. Your T level also prepares you to progress to a higher level apprenticeship or a degree, giving you a choice of progressions.
