You will be assessed using a variety of methods including placement, Employer Set Project, 2 exams, practical activities, presentation skills, teamwork and communication skills and a professional discussion.

Who is it for?
This course is specifically designed for those aged 16-19 who want to become adult nurses. You will need to have a genuine interest in caring for people and the desire to make a difference in their lives.
This is a rewarding career with many opportunities. You will complete an industry placement in NHS settings, working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to learn about the role and to develop the skills required. (Industry Placement will be 1-2 days per week.)
This course will take you into adult nursing, with the opportunity to progress directly into adult nursing at the University of Chester on the condition of meeting entry requirements.
You can also go directly into employment as an ambulance support worker, healthcare support worker, or senior healthcare support worker.

Entry Requirements
You will need to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English, Maths and Science. You must be positive, dedicated, and enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills. You will also need to apply for a DBS.

What does the course involve?
The T Level in Health comprises 11 core components including:
- Working in the healthcare sector discussion
- Infection control
- Safeguarding
- Health and Safety
- Person-centred care
- Health and well being
- Good clinical practice
- Supporting healthcare component - involving supporting individual comfort and wellbeing, assisting with clinical tasks and carrying out physiological measurements
- Occupational specialist component (Supporting the Adult Nursing Team) - involving activities for daily living, care and treatment of skin conditions
Plus 2 science components.
You will also complete an Employer Set Project where you will be assessed using skills such as; presenting, teamwork, communication, reflective evaluation, researching and person-centred skills. Finally, you will complete a minimum of 315 industry placement hours over the 2 years.
Your study programme will consist of working towards the digital technical qualification, coding modules, projects, industry placement(s), trips and visits, speakers from industry and universities, preparation for progression and enrichment activities.
