Here are the key dates for your diary:
- College finishes for the half term break at 4.30pm on Thursday, 13 February 2025 – college buses will run as normal
- Teaching begins again on Monday, 24 February 2025 – timetables will run as normal
Communications over the half-term break
If there are updates or changes in arrangements for students' return to college, we will communicate them to students via the MySCG app—please look out for updates.
Information will also be sent out in the following ways:

Safeguarding
Please remember that you can access our Student Assistance Programme to keep you safe over the holidays.
The college provides the Student Assistance Programme and gives you access to a 24/7 helpline staffed by BACP-accredited counsellors who can help you with a range of issues, including:
- Counselling and emotional support
- Safeguarding concerns
- Money management and debt support
- Personal legal information
- Medical information (available Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm)
The service is anonymous but includes a link up to local safeguarding and emergency services where immediate action is needed to keep you safe.
You simply need to call 0800 028 3766 to access this service.
There is also support available directly from the college Safeguarding Team during the college day in the half-term holidays. Between 8.30am-4.00pm Monday-Friday, please call Reception on 01743 653000 or email
Learning Resource Centres
The Learning Resource Centre at the London Road Campus will be open during the half-term
English Bridge Campus: Not open
London Road Campus: Monday to Friday: 8.30am until 3.30pm
Welsh Bridge Campus: Not open
