Each unit will be assessed by end of unit multiple-choice online tests, supported with practical assessments throughout the year.

How much does it cost?
Students will be expected to provide their own overalls, safety shoes and contribute to the cost of any additional enrichment activities. If you are aged 19 or over materials fees are payable on enrolment.

Our specialist teaching and fantastic facilities will aid your progression. We also offer our students the opportunity to enter local, national, and international competitions including the UK SkillElec competition.

Entry Requirements
Internal progression students must have completed a Level 1 Electrical course.
New students must have attained a minimum of grade 4 in GCSE Maths, English and Science.

What does the course involve?
You will study a combination of practical techniques and theory-based applications, and undertake a wide variety of standard electrical installation work within a workshop environment.
We'll help you to source work placements through a variety of employers.
You will learn about:
- A variety of different wiring systems, such as conduit, tray and trunking
- Various methods of writing and circuit control
- Safety-critical tasks to ensure the safety of yourself and others
Students will be required to attend Maths and English (GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2) depending on prior achievements and initial assessments.
