Level 3 VTCT Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a beauty therapist.
This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty therapist including: providing body massage, face and body electrotherapy, health and safety and client care.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your understanding and skills further with Stone therapy massage and Nail Technology including gel and acrylic. The structure of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career as a beauty therapist.

Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and beauty therapy products and equipment. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare the skin and apply a variety of beauty therapy products and electrical equipment using different techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

This qualification may lead directly into employment in as a senior beauty therapist in a beauty salon or spa or to self-employment as a mobile beauty therapist or working as a Nail Technician. Level 4 salon Management, Aesthetic’s or further training.

This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a beauty therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments is a course that has been specifically designed to develop your practical beauty therapy skills such as; face and body electrotherapy and body massage.

Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon, Client care and communication in beautyrelated industries, Working in beauty related industries, Provide body massage, Provide facial electrotherapy treatments, Provide body electrotherapy treatments, Nail Technology, gel and acrylic and Stone Therapy massage.

The work will be assessed continually through a variety of formative and summative assessments on peers and clients with constructive feedback throughout the course allowing you to build confidence and skill.  You will also be required to build a portfolio of evidence to show competence. There is also a written assignment and exams to complete.

A Nail Technology kit and uniform will be required for this course.

Continual at home practice will be required. Work placement block will be carried out in January for a minimum hour of 60 hrs.
