You will be practically assessed by observation on paying clients in a commerical environment and you will sit externally set online multiple choice exams. Assignments and presentations are also set throughout the year.

How much does it cost?
It is an expectation of professional practice to wear a uniform whilst in salon sessions. It is advisable to purchase a kit to allow you to practise skills out of College. Order forms are available on the website.
You will have the opportunity to attend course related shows and competitions.

Who is it for?
This course will help you to develop advanced technical skills for the provision of a high level of service within a professional hairdressing salon.

Entry Requirements
You must hold a level 2 qualification in hairdressing experience and be working in a salon for at least one day per week. Excellent communication skills are essential and you must be motivated and committed to the course. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and be passionate about the industry.

What does the course involve?
You will attend theory and practical lessons and will carry out various advanced hairdressing services on paying clients in the training academy. You will be expected to source your own clients as well as working on existing clients. As part of the course you will be expected to attend external work experience for one day a week.
The units covered:
- Client consultation
- Advanced creative cutting women and men' hair
- Creative hair design skills
- Styling and bridal
- Colouring
- Colour correction
- Health & safety.
You will continue to develop your Maths and English skills and study GCSEs in Maths and English if you have not already achieved a grade 4.

Level 3 students are required to attend work experience for one day per week.
