Recognising that employers are at the heart of the system, we ensure we stay relevant by being part of various employer networks, including Made in the Midlands. In addition, we consult with our Engineering Skills Advisory Panel, who meet regularly with us to discuss what training your industry needs. We all appreciate just how vital apprentices are to the future of engineering, and the college’s response to that is to provide a comprehensive training offer that includes:

University level courses

Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) are technical qualifications employers have helped develop so you can get the right training and skills needed for your employees. There are many different types of approved HTQs, such as Higher National Certificates and Higher National Diplomas. In engineering, we currently offer:

Green skills training for the Automotive industry

In response to the changing car sales market, we are pleased to offer:

• Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement*

 * All our green, renewable courses are fully funded for Shropshire residents

As an IMI-approved centre, we offer cost-effective solutions which meet DVSA MOT requirements for managers and testers:
