The courses are all free unless you already hold a grade 4/C or above for English GCSE.

What does the course involve?
The course(s) provide the opportunity for you to develop your literacy/English skills at your own pace with expert teaching and support. Topics covered include:
- Reading a range of texts
- Identifying key information
- Writing skills
- Comparing texts
- Purpose of text
- Language features
- Spelling, punctuation and grammar
- Dictionary skills
- Communication skills
- Speaking and listening

Additional Notes
On completion of Level 2 and in some cases Level 1 students can progress onto GCSE English.
