How much does it cost?
You will be expected to pay for the materials used to develop your fashion ideas, a detailed list will be provided.
A contribution towards educational visits may also be requested.

Who is it for?
This exciting and creative programme provides a nationally recognised qualification equivalent to three A Levels for those interested in a career in the Fashion industries. The course will equip you with knowledge and understanding of the different employment areas in fashion such as design, illustration, marketing, merchandising, buying, pattern cutting, garment construction and textiles. The course will build the practical skills to develop design ideas into three dimensional clothing which will be included in the annual Fashion Show.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, preferably including English Language and an art subject, or Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design at Merit level, and a portfolio of art and design work.

What does the course involve?
This course offers a fascinating insight and pathway into this exciting industry. Our specialist teachers will inspire, guide, and support you through the different topics on this course to help you develop your skills and portfolio.
Our specialist facilities at the English Bridge Campus will aid your education and development in fashion and textiles. We will help you build up a portfolio of work to support your progression.
18 exciting and diverse units make up the course and help to provide the knowledge and understanding of the different aspects of the fashion and textiles industry. Projects include design, illustration, marketing and branding, pattern cutting, garment construction, digital image, sustainability, and textiles. You will develop practical skills enabling you to realise your ideas through image-making, garments and textiles work for presentation.
Where possible we use competitions and client briefs to give students a real-life experience and the opportunity to gain recognition at this early stage of their careers. Your teachers will advise and support you in university applications and building a portfolio of work to help you to pursue your progression ambitions.

Additional Notes
Recent students have progressed from Level 3 to prestigious institutions such as Central St Martins, London College of Fashion, Manchester Metropolitan University and Nottingham Trent University. Courses studied include fashion design, tailoring, fashion buying and marketing, performance and costume, and garment technology. Some students go into employment or set up their own businesses.
