You will undertake practical assessments, multiple-choice unit end tests and a multiple-choice online knowledge test.

How much does it cost?
You will be expected to provide your own overalls, safety shoes, and contribute to the cost of any additional enrichment activities.
If you are aged 19 or over fees for tuition, exams and materials may be payable on enrolment.

Who is it for?
Delivered in a realistic training environment, the course includes general core units and occupation-specific units. You will be able to progress to a Construction Apprenticeship, based upon a satisfactory outcome from your Level 2, and subject to entry requirements, e.g. attaining an appropriate competence in Maths and English (GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2). Progression routes also include the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction.

Entry Requirements
Level 1 qualification in Brickwork. Maths and English qualifications at Level 1 or above.

What does the course involve?
Vocational Units: (All units are mandatory):
- Carrying out safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities & communicating with others
- Building methods & construction technology
- Interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures
- Thin joint masonry & masonry cladding
- Building solid walling, isolated & attached piers
- Building cavity walling forming masonry structures.

Some students may be required to attend Maths and English (GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2) depending on prior achievements and initial assessments.
