Eligibility for FREE Level 2 Distance Learning Courses:

  • Be resident in England and live in a postcode area that is eligible for funding
  • Learners must be aged 19 years or over as of the current academic year
  • Have a Full Level 2 qualification if aged 19-23 (subject to a ULN check being undertaken)
  • Have lived in the EU for the last three years

To pass this qualification, learners are required to complete a formal assessment submitted to us for marking.

  • Who is it for?

    This qualification is designed for learners wishing to progress to a wide range of further learning and job roles such as nursery staff, teachers, health/social workers across health and social care, children and young people, nursing, public services and education and training.

    This qualification will provide learners with an opportunity to develop an understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) relevant to their current or future roles and will equip them with basic understanding of techniques for preventing and addressing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in practice.

     

  • Entry Requirements

    There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this programme although learners must be aged 19 or above.  Good numeracy and literacy skills are advantageous.  Entry is at the discretion of the Centre.

  • What does the course involve?

    The course comprises the following three mandatory units:

    • Unit 1: Exploring Childhood and Family Structures
    • Unit 2: Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences
    • Unit 3: Understand strategies to improve outcomes for children affected by adverse childhood experiences.

     

    This qualification could be what you need to improve your career prospects and get your ideal job, if you are unable to attend college on a regular basis.
