How do I apply?
You can apply to full-time courses on the Shrewsbury Colleges Group website only, you will need to fill out our application form. All the details on how to apply can be found here: We have a video and a list of everything that you will need before you start. Apply here.

What do I write in my personal statement?
Your personal statement is an opportunity for you to share your story, your experiences, your ambitions, and your skills with us. You can find all the pointers you need here.
Can I apply for A Levels and Vocational courses?
Yes, you can apply for A Levels and a Vocational course, if you are unsure on what grades you might be getting in the summer. However, you will not be able to study both A Levels and a full-time Vocational course, you will have to withdraw from one before you start in September.
How many A Levels can I apply for?
You can apply for four A Levels if you are unsure which courses you would like to study with us. At the interview we will discuss your preferred selection, and one option will be made provisional. Whether you study three or four A-Levels will be agreed at enrolment and will be dependent on your grade profile.
Can I change my mind or withdraw from a course?
Yes, you can withdraw and change your mind about what subjects/courses you want to do. We recommend applying for all the courses you are interested in as soon as possible. We do recommend applying to our courses no later than Friday 6th June 2025 to guarantee your place.
What is the difference between applying and enrolling?
You apply to the College by filling out our online application form, you will not enrol on to the course, until you have received your exam results in August. In July you will receive a letter inviting you to enrol, with everything that you need to know. Only after that appointment are you enrolled onto our course.
Where will the Interview be?
Our admissions team will contact you when they are ready to interview you, this can be at one of our three campuses. Our admissions team will contact you with the correct time, date, and location.
What happens if I can't make my Interview date?
Don’t worry if you can’t make your interviews, just call, or email our admissions team and let them know, they will then rearrange for you to come at a different time and date. You can contact them on
What do I need to bring for my interview?
We ask all applicant students to bring a copy of their latest school report. We also ask students who are being interviewed for the following courses Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Art & Design, Level 3 Extended Diploma in Fashion and Textiles and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Photography to bring a portfolio with them to interviews.
Can I bring my parents, siblings, friends, carers, or extended family members with me to interview?
You can arrive with someone to the interviews, there is a waiting area for all people who aren’t being interviewed to sit and wait. However, when you are being interviewed by our staff, you will do this alone. If there is a particular reason why you need to be accompanied during the interview, please discuss this with the reception staff when you arrive.
