Two students who met while studying at Shrewsbury Colleges Group where they discovered they had both tragically had stillborn sons, have decided to take on a physical challenge to raise awareness and funds and bring the difficult conversation of stillbirth to light.
Kylie Brennan, 29 and Anna Fitch, 35, both from Shrewsbury, met last year when they started on the Access to Higher Education Course at the London Road Campus.
Shrewsbury Colleges Group’s Higher Education programmes were inspected by the national Quality Assurance Agency last month with the review team awarding the College the highest possible ratings.
QAA is the equivalent of Ofsted for universities and higher education in colleges and the recognition of the excellent work at the College is proof that Shrewsbury’s Higher Education students receive a fantastic experience at the College.

Music Technology students at Shrewsbury Colleges Group were rewarded for their efforts at their annual awards ceremony last week - with one scooping the main accolade, named after former Charlatans’ drummer, the late Jon Brookes.
The Jon Brookes Award for Endeavour was established after Mr Brookes, former drummer with world-renowned British Indie band The Charlatans, became affiliated with the College when he helped to launch its Roland Academy for Music in 2009.

Three students from Shrewsbury Colleges Group studying Foundation Degrees in Engineering have scooped first, second and third prizes in a national engineering competition run to find the best inventions of tomorrow.
The GradEX18 exhibition and competition, which is a unique chance to view the exiting and innovative work being produced by tomorrow's industry pioneers from: Computing, Digital Technologies, Engineering, Law, Policing & Sociology and Sciences, all in the final years of their degree-level courses, took place at Staffordshire University last month.
This September, a new round of degree-level courses will begin at Shrewsbury Colleges Group, which has been successfully teaching higher education (HE) courses for over 20 years.
Among the full and part-time courses on offer are a Foundation Degree in Sports and Physical Education, HNC in Performing Arts, 13 engineering and construction degrees including a Foundation Degree in Mechanical Technology, as well as Business and Management courses, Counselling, Early Years and Teaching.
Shrewsbury Colleges Group student, Megan Lockley, will fly the flag for Shropshire within the women’s Great Britain College Hockey team.
Two students from Shrewsbury Colleges Group travelled to Cannock at the start of December to take part in the final team trial for GB College Hockey and, after proving her ability, Megan got the honour of selection.
